In this lab, we used carrot tissue to make clones. we started by mixing DI water and 1 gram of carrot callus hormone in an Erlenmeyer Flask. We boiled the flask on a Hotplate. We then used PVC pipes and a bag to Build a makeshift laminar Flow Hood. we sterilized all of our equipment with alcohol and bleach. We then cut off a soft piece of carrot tissue and put it in a small vial with a solution that would make the cells grow quickly. we then repeated the process with a different solution that made the cells diversify into different roles .
