Bacteria Culture lab

In this lab, we learned how to culture bacteria and identify them under a microscope. First, we made agar in a Petri dish and using 2 techniques called lawn streaking and 3Z streaking we covered the outermost layer of the agar in bacteria. After that, we waited a day for the bacteria to grow and then heat fixed them onto a microscope slide. We looked under the microscope to see what kind of bacteria were inside. In this lab, We learned how to label a petri dish so all of the relevant information is there and how to grow the bacteria and put it on a slide.
