Showcase Project
The showcase was the biggest project we worked on at CART. We started by choosing people we wanted to work with and people we didn't want to work with. After that, we were put into groups of 4 and told to find a recent biotechnological advancement to research. My group did research on a new method that is being used by scientists to fight malaria.
First, we were told to make a 120m second google slides presentation. Then we made one without any time restriction. After that, we were tasked with building a poster on Microsoft publisher. Once we were done we kept reviewing and refining the poster to make it better. eventually, we also made an interactive model and presented all the model and poster to a croud of aroud 3000 people.
This assignment was a very good learning experience and taught me what to expect while working with a group. I learned to keep a cool head and not get angry easily. I also learned it is a good idea to meticulously plan out every detail of the work delegated and how it is supposed to be done. It is also good to know what topics to avoid talking about while working with certain teammates.
